Krul is OP Top
Getting that first tornado trigger is crucial. The faster you can apply those weakness stacks, the easier it will be to kill those SOBs. Also the regen will come faster and so you will heal while they die. The bone saw helps get more speed and damage for a kill. Hopefully, if you're a good jungler, you will have a tornado trigger around 5 min. The next thing you'll want is either the shiversteel or the journey boots. Players aren't going to want to fight you when you make them die, so they run and then kite you. Don't let them do that. Later in the game, the barrier will be extremely important, so one might want to consider an alternating current for a little extra speed and damage. The clockwork will make spamming the abilities more possible, because Krul is nothing without his abilities. Journey boots will come in handy late game if you can master a little trick I have learned with his sword. Hide in the brush, then use Shadows empower me or sprint at the to rush them. Throw the sword behind before you meet them, then run past them. Then kill them. With both builds I have been able to sneak past the enemy at the third turret and solo the Kraken. At least once per game. Solo. Do you understand now why Krul is OP? The kraken can't even be affected by the slow stacks, yet the regen and barrier and sudden health burst are enough to solo her! If Krul can get the Kraken, he can 1v1 anyone. Just use this simple ability combo:
SEM(Shadows Empower Me)-FHH(From Hell's Heart)-DMR(Dead Man's Rush)-SSC(Spectral Smite Crystal) The following notes describe a 1v1 serario..
Vs. Adagio Top
Sure, with another character or even minions, Adagio can be a nightmare. But (at lvl 12) you can use your
From Hell's Heart to stop him, or as an alternative you can hide for a few seconds in the brush at the top of the map then slow him so he can't run away. Krul is surprisingly one of the faster characters( With a speed of 3.4 somethings per something) and slowing Adagio will make him vulnerable. Obviously you'd want to
Dead Man's Rush him, then just let the Smite crystals stack up. Then deliver a punishment from the Ether above and end him.
Vs. Ardan Top
Ardan is a tanky protector. If he's alone (ha, NO) you can easily kill him. Use the basic combo to initiate and, even though he has a Vanguard and super punch, He needs the
Vengeance from attacking, so slow him and
SShim.
Vs. Cathrine Top
Cathrine is rather squishy, and if you act quick and avoid her when she's shielding, you can kill her quickly with the basic combo
Vs. Celeste Top
Celeste has zero health. She takes time to aim, and you can tank most of her attacks anyway. Basic Combo, don't let her run away, Use a Shiversteel or any boots or just SEM and the stars are going out tonight.
Vs. Glaive Top
I have found Glaive to be a rather difficult character to master, and even then in a one on one situation, the
SS will slow him and render his powerful attacks useless. One strategy I've used many times when he uses the knockback move is pretend to be frightened and run away. The hit will give you a head start to hide in the bush and use
SEM to slow his escape.
Vs. Joule Top
I'm getting tired of saying "use the basic combo and they'll be doomed", but it's true. Joule is just like any other character; When you can't attack, you can't deal damage and therefor you can't win. Just watch out for her ult tho, cuz it deals a **** ton of damage when you get caught in the blast and the barrier will get worn down and used before long.
Vs. Koshka Top
Koshka pisses me off. She hides in the brush, then pounces, stuns, and kills like a good assassin. There is no running. Stand and fight and you have a chance. Don't use the Combo, because you're not gonna find her.
She will find you.
Vs. Krul Top
One of my more memorable, ROFL, hilarious moments playing Vainglory was when I went against another Krul. I was surprised in the jungle shop with a FHH. Of course, he forgot to SEM, so I could have run away if I had wanted to, as I had been waiting at the shop. Naturally he DMRed me and I did the same. I had gone for the Attack Speed build, and he was going for the same, so it was an evenly matched fight. To even. We spend at least two minutes SSing each other and healing ourselves. Eventually I had to have SAW come and help me finish him. I was laughing for 10 minutes afterwards.
Vs. Petal Top
Vs. Ringo Top
Beware the kite, the slow and the fireball that prevents a teleport escape.
Vs. SAW Top
SSAW is a glass cannon. A glass cannnon that has concrete weighing it down. He willl try his best to kill you, he will deal a **** ton of damage. He will try to out shoot you. SS will slow him down so that he can't eveen shoot. If he switches to his ult, his ullt is slowwer than his full spin up so his speed can't attack aat all.
