Does the life steal from, Serpent Mask, only work if the killing blow comes from a basic attack?

Does the life steal from, Eye Of Harvest, only work if the killing blow comes from a crystal
attack ?

Serpent Mask do no take in account the killing blow, it gives you lifesteal for everytime you do basic attacks on minions or heroes. But Book of Eulogies and Barbed Needle will restore a fix amount of health for every time you kill a minion/hero with a basic attack. If you kill a minion/hero with an ability, you won't get the little bonus they offer.

Eve of Harvest grants you lifesteal when you're using abilities. It doesn't care for the killing blow since the killing blow won't give any bonus, it's the same thing as Serpent Mask but with abilities and not basic attacks this time
