ironguard contract does not actually increase the amount of gold received per kill. If hit 5 times you receive20 gold; if an ally gets a last hit, they get their gold, and you get an amount equal to 20% of what they earned. It's useful for slower junglers (so you don't miss out on gold because of how slow that hero jungles), players in the support role (to allow their carry to get the last hit), or when there's two laners (for easier sharing of the gold).

Here's some quick tips to help any new players: Use scout traps for vision. Seeing a gank coming your way could save your team from being Aced. No build will work all the time. Learn when you need to counter a certain hero. Check the score board often. It's good to see how your opponents are building so you can counter them. The devs haven't ruled out the idea of a leaderboard (If I'm not mistaken they even sounded positive about the idea during a twitch stream). But I think right now they're focused on adding more basic features, like allowing players to use their own music in-game like they did in the last update. It would be so awesome to see where you rank on your server and globally :D

You're right, I didn't notice the edited comment :P Definitely for longer encounters an alternating current would be better since you can only reduce cooldowns so much (bc of diminishing returns). I like to think of my self as a faux-protector when using HV. Brainwash the enemy into thinking you're playing Catherine normally, yet really play her more of a normal jungler/initiator. I totally agree! This is a great game and you can tell the devs have poured their souls into it. The fact that they've been able to make so many people this passionate about their game this quickly speaks volumes. Moving forward I think they'll survey a lot of the core players and see if they would like to see additional maps or where they can improve. (They already did one surveymonkey back in Nov I think).
