I personally prefer Adagio, but it's great to see someone maining support. You might want to look up articles/guides about the 'art of support'. Nothing is more frustrating when a roamer doesn't build right

Based on personal experience, and some theorycrafting, it is always better to get shred over pierce. Shred reduces the armour of an enemy for the entire team, and scales better than pierce when your enemy builds heavy armour (anything above tier 1 armour)

CP Vox is the way to go man. Check out druid's Vox builds, and how he plays in VIPL. He is one of the best Vox players out there. As for some personal advice, Vox requires really precise mechanics because the hero kites pretty well while dealing a lot of damage. Get used to him, and he can become a real beast

Typically, in Vainglory, since there are only 3 players a side, it comprises of a Laner, Jungler, and a Roamer. The Laner farms in the lane, the Jungler farms in the jungle, and the Roamer simply supports both players, and earns gold through the Ironguard Contract. You can learn more from the in-game tutorials. As for how you described, the Junglers and Laners are normally the ones trying to avoid damage while the Roamer, which is the more tanky one, is typically the one in the enemy's...

One thing that isn't mentioned here is picking the right support hero. Ardan isn't a bad support hero, but it doesn't match with certain junglers/laners, like Koshka. You're better off with a Fortress or Catherine there. Also, offensive items for a support should really only be those that either excel in long fights, e.g Bonesaw, Breaking Point, BM, or Aftershock.

It kind of depends on the enemy tean composition and how your team fares early. If your team manages to bully them out of the jungle, finishing a tier 3 damage item is acceptable as it helps in snowballing your lead. On the other hand, defense items are important if you find yourself dying too quickly in teamfights, or if you get focused too quickly. As for team compositions, it is fairly obvious to build the corresponding defense items if the enemy team goes full CP or full WP etc.

You must be using him wrongly. When Skye was introduced, so many players were running her WP and complaining about how bad she is. Furthermore, a fed Reim is extremely devastating, I have experienced one melting a Phinn in about 5-6 seconds. :o

Solo queue gets pretty frustrating at lower levels. All the cancer thrives there, where you see support catherines not building fountains or crucibles but sorrowblades. ;-;
