As fun as this is with competent player I finally lost one early game because my two ******ed teammates left me 1v3 in the lane while they mindlessly farmed jungle.
Man I was having a hard time playing saw till I tried this build. I use the same build on Catherine, but I didn't think to try it on saw. For some reason I just could not get the hang of saw dps, but now I can just petal when I want to range dps.
Sadly it's hard to get solo queue players to get in through their heads to stick with you. Even worse I have had people pick Catherine or Adago after I locked saw. I should probably learn a saw dps build that works for me, but I w/e I'll just have to be flexible on the hero I play.
Awesome, it's been awhile since I "saw" a totally different saw built.
Played around with warhorn and fountain, didn't get it to work. never thought to add 2 more and change my play-stile.
Hi Vozome,
You're absolutely right. Perhaps I'll put this note under the weakness. The fact that there is a bit of a learning curve for your teammates. This build becomes very effective if you're teammates are on board. The more intuitive players will start getting your role over time, but it's not guaranteed.
One thing I'd recommend is trying to "over heal" them early on so that they get use to you healing them. An example would be that if you use warhorn to carry them out of danger, and then heal them as you're running away. It's easier for them to put 2 and 2 together.
Hi, I have tried this SAW build and got a landslide victory. It felt very nice to play differently and to be able to support and in many cases save my team. The fountains of renewal are really useful in a heated 3 vs 3 battle, even if this SAW isn't really good at fighting heroes. His suppressing fire is good at stopping fugitives for good though.
my main gripe is that my teammates didn't get that I could heal them / speed them so they each did their thing, or will retreat to the base when I had one (or two!) fountains active for them.

Thanks for the inspiration, samadhi!!
