Skaarf focuses on Crystal Power and racking up damage fast. Eve of Harvest grants Crystal Lifesteal and works wonders with his second and third abilities (which should be given the overdrive for maximum dps). Early game is pretty simple and should be more damage-oriented, as opposed to tanky. As the match goes on, Fountain of Renewal should be bought, as health is good, and it's better for Skaarf to be protected from abilities. Clockwork is necessary, so spamming can be done in team fights, and Blazing Salvo is optional, as I win most of my games before being able to afford it.
SCOUT. TRAPS. EVERYWHERE. Load up on traps and leave them anywhere you can (preferably surrounding mines so enemies can't steal). Grief is your best friend with Skaarf. AoE ultimate on top of explosions everywhere? Priceless. Also, if you're in the bush and an assassin (or Krul) finds you, they'll probably back off. High passive damage eliminates Koshka and Taka's slippery-ness, and Krul has a hard time healing that way. Have fun!
