I am seriously wondering if you you know the roles of all the vainglory or even understand it.

Carries do most of the damage. Simple
Junglers main role is to shut down the enemy carry. Kill the carrry. That is it.
Captains provide vision and protect the carry from dying.

As you can see above, the captains buy defensive and utility items to protect the carry from dying. the body block damage for them and even die for them. A captain buys fountain to save his or her carry from dying. A captain buys a crucible to bodyblock and to block stuns and Crowd Control that threaten the carry. A Captain Buys Vision to prevent ganks which will kill his or her carry that he needs to protect.

Pls understand that captains are meant to buy defensive and utility items, all for the sake of protecting his or her carry.

You're a newbie that's all. Captain build support items, not defense items. But most support items are defenses, such as FoR, Crucible, Atlas.
Carry buy little to no defense because they rely on Captain to stay alive. Carry have to not feed, Captain have to "protec" when 3v3 breaks out.
T5 is a very low tier. Don't blame them only, blame yourself also.

Well, technically, fountain and crucible is a defense item but anyway it should be considered a support item.
