I grew up playing both Dota and then Dota 2. A very common mechanic is simply making educated assumptions on where the enemy team might be because the map in Dota is simply too large to be covered by vision. I simply translated that same mechanic into Vainglory. In 1.17, we were introduced to the mechanic that prevents the scoreboard with items from being updated until vision of the other team is gained. I don't feel as if this change has had very much impact on the importance of scout traps...
