This guide is very out of date. Will you be updating it for 1.12? I think WP is more of the way to go nowadays.

The only problem with this build is the lack of defense. You go for all-out attack damage. The boots are definitely necessary, so I don't think I would consider that an "alternate build," and you should also have another defensive item incorporated (this could be the crucible). If you are going to use the crucible, you might want to replace a Sorrowblade or Tyrant's monocle with a serpents mask because tank and sustain go hand in hand. One more thing, I don't think you should ever...

Shady I'm sorry but I think you've misinterpreted my build. You can't replace the weapon infusion with a tyrants monocole because all six slots are filled. I apologize for the confusion, but the sixth slot is filled by the defensive item.

This build has potential because the serpents mask combined with a crucible and fountain give joule a lot of sustain, thus making her hard to kill. Just a few suggestions: since this is for a lane Joule, I would recommend getting a book of eulogies as your first item so that you can gain a little bit of health back after last hitting each lane minion. Also, I think you should alter the ability path because the only time you should really ever overdrive your jump is on a Crystal Joule. This...

Yeah when you use this build correctly and start destroying the enemy team, they usually build armor, so the bonesaw should be used quite often.
