I think if you're looking for him to be played as a jungle then his ult should complement that. by this I mean something that will help him stick to enemies. perhaps having him dash forward in the selected location and then have him cause an explosion of fire stunning or slowing and doing a little dmg to all enemies within the radius of the explosion and giving stacks of angel fire. this will help him stick to retreating enemies and may even give him a better team fight which isn't really...

sometimes if I feel it necessary ill use a flare or if I already have the enemy jungle pretty well warded but otherwise I usually save them just in case I need to ward. usually I build tons of health items and rarely travel alone so peaking isn't much of a problem. of course this is more of a bad habit and less of a strategy. I probably should use flares more often but I never do.

I used to build only crystal on Catherine and as far as I can remember I did pretty well. its all about the shield and eve of harvest combo not to mention aftershock can make her stun way more deadly.
