There are a ton of laner in Vainglory recently (after Baron and Samuel released). Though there will be a new hero 'Gwen' and as you can see, she will be more capable in lane too. But sometimes we couldn't play them as good as other people, Why? Simple:

1.Make a good Build Item.
Besides level, item build in Vainglory have a ton effects in the game. Like damaging, tanking, or even utility(Purple Item). But as Laner, you must decide what build will you pick and make it clear. Exp: You played as Crystal Vox, build it with Clear Crystal and don't mix it up with weapon. (Although some hero are even crazier if you use both Weapon and Crystal).

2. Never enter enemy bush by your own.
This is the most stupid reason why enemy can get so many gold and you can't. Stop feeding. If you can't see behind the bushes (Celeste can see it by Heliogenesis, Vox can see through by Pulse, Blackfeather can predict by On Point, and etc.) just chill, do the last hit and make sure you are on the safe range.

3.Defensive Item.
Roamer is the tank, initiator, and Support as well. So they must buy Fountain of Renewal, Crucible, Atlas, and even Metal Jacket. And the laner just buy alllll weapon/crystal item and Boots!!!
NOPE. Laner basically the mayor damager in the team, yeah they need to buy damaging item and also one or two defensive item to protect yourself from enemy ganks.

4.Front or Behind?
There are 3 roles in vainglory. And each role has different job to do. So who will be the front guy? The Big Man. Give that to you roamer/ jungler. And you, just sit behind them and make sure your hero kills the enemy, okay? Be a good boy then. (or girl... whatever..)

5. Last Hitting
Always been mentioned for every laner, practise your last hit. Even if you already can play it by only one hand, or even without looking at the screen, keep practicing the last hit, since you can do the last hit on your enemy heroes too. Practices make perfect.

6. Trust your Allies.
This is where you must trust your allies to support you on the game. If they ask you to go back, just do it. They won't just abandon their main carry in their team.
