After months of being frustrated at the obvious disaster of a matchmaking system - the penny finally dropped ! It's deliberate guys - the game is designed so your win loss ratio as a solo que player to be at 50%!! ... They even say that in the handy hints that flash up since the update! There fore it's designed to place people who "win too much" with scrub players to get u back at 50% - so as u are continually trying to reach those seemingly unachievable tiers ... No your not just "unlucky" with who u get matched with .. It's a strategy implemented to keep people playing .. If all the good players reached end game content they would get bored - and they know it!!!.... This is why they haven't made matchmaking a priority & have answered the massive outcry of dissatisfied players with obscure responses & open ended replies !!

That's not exactly what happens. While I haven't seen the "50% win rate" hint, I believe that. What the matchmaking system tries to do is match players with similar elo. So if you've been on a winning streak (meaning you've gained tons of elo quickly), it'll match you against higher elo players since you now have similar elo ratings. If you can handle it, then you get a huge elo boost; if not, then it only goes down a little. This system does have an intrinsic motivational factor to it, and that's the huge driving force to why people get so intense with MOBAs. But it is not a way to keep players out of "unacheivable" tiers.

It also does not mean SEMC has let matchmaking become a low priority item. Elo rating systems aren't perfect, but there will never be a "perfect" system. If you read the patch notes they are constantly improving it to where every match should be fair.

And you are right, if players reach VainGlorious in days they would get bored and leave. So it's actually in SEMC's best interest to keep the matchmaking system as fair as possible.
