Is there ANY scenario where you would get Iron Contract AND last hit in jungle with your team mate??.

Ok I'm baffled.
I believe if you purchase iron contract you hit the minion first to take damage and then let your team mate kill it so you get gold plus bonus gold, is this true?
I played with team and my jungle buddy got iron contract, he was fortress I was ardan, so I thought fair enough I'll get the heart (forgot name)
So we go into jungle he starts attacking minions, all good, I'll last hit and we both get gold and bonus. After a couple of those he pings the sh*t outta me, question marks galore.
To cut a long story short we win and in team chat he says that is how pros play, something to do with me being support so letting him last hit with IG.
Never heard of this, is this really how top level pls? Tbh I'm only decent-ish so mayb this is so high tier thing, please shed some light on this?

Nope. That guy was either ******ed or terribly misinformed. The maximum bonus gold bonus is +90%.
The way he was starting the attack AND getting last hits only allowed for a maximum of +60% IF you had also picked up an IC.
