Ironguard Contract

I have been noticing lane players using them a lot lately and am curious why. Lane is filled with gold as is and you don't get hits for the lane minons just enemies and jungle minons. It can't be that worth it to concede a weapon or crystal early especially with a Ringo who is weak early.

I use Skaarf if I have to lane and pick it up first. Mostly due to his slow fire rate (which I never upgrade). When teammates come up I get more gold. Mainly I think people get it early is because it pays for itself fairly quickly.

Ironguard Contract gives a hp regen a 20 gold on 5 hits taken(yes thats useless in the lane) but it gives 20% gold from every mob killed by an ally near by (even if your dead and your allies kill minions your still making bank) this is very usefull if you have a team with two laners (which in my opinion is a bad idea)

Some players might pick it up thinking they'll be sharing the lane with another laner or roamer. Other than that, they may like the early game hp regen.

If the player is not concerned with any of that, then who knows why xD

Yes, when sharing the lane, or jungle, it helps a little, and pays for itself in short order.

If u are in lane and hit an enemy, their minions target u so the 5 hit timer is useful

If you dual lane(which is rare, but still) you get 20% gold whenever a nearby teammate kills a minion. Also, when you attack heroes, you agro the minions, sometimes that can help if the minions hit you at least 5 times.
