Is there some kind of bug that is causing players to randomly get banned while in queue? I was in ranked waiting for the next game for 4 minutes and when I left the team I was suddenly banned for 5 minutes. Couldn't continue talking to my guildmates or anything. Is there something wrong or am I missing something?

I think total matches won would be the better way to go about it instead of individual matches with a champion. If I need to have 25 wins with a champion before I can play that champ in a ranked game I might just not bother and stick to only one or two champs. With that line of thinking many players will only focus on one or two champs because the effort required to play a different one is too much.
