The real question is... How on earth are you karma 20 but still in decent-ish to not bad? We do have a system that punishes bad players; it's called skill tiers. Currently you're in a skill tier full of bad players, so get up to the hotness or at least pretty good if you want a solution to your problem. A lot of new players are in your tier, don't be surprised when they don't understand simple concepts.

Catherine's shield will block both of taka's abilities & his regular attacks can't do much to her. Joule can do pretty well against him as she is naturally tanky; throw on some defense items & he's toast against her. I suppose adagio could do decent also with the right build. But overall, definitely Catherine. Taka really doesn't stand a chance against tanky players like her.

I've been trying out lane characters unsuccessfully lately. Gave ringo a shot, did decent, but I couldn't keep up with those insane high skill tier laners & ganks. Tried adagio for a few games but I just wasn't feeling it. Used to be a great WP saw but... Well... He doesn't do as well up here, lmao. Skaarf's ultimate, when maxed, has insane damage. On top of that, it has crazy crystal ratios, so one shatter glass adds something like 500 extra damage to his ult. I'm guessing skaarf either had multiple shatter glasses or some of the crystal shield piercing items with shatter glass. Standing directly in front of skaarf's ultimate... I would say none of the three... The lane has its time and the gold mine has its time. It's not smart to rush the gold mine when the enemy is around... but it's also not smart to ignore it. sitting in the lane 24/7 can be fatal as laners who run into the jungle can help secure kills & win team fights.
